Virtual mailbox in San Diego, CA: locations compared (hub vs pack-and-ship)

San Diego is a marketplace city. The large networks list dozens of streets. Almost none of those listings are a company-owned mailroom. If you live in La Jolla, you are still shopping pack-and-ship stores in Pacific Beach, UTC, Miramar, and a couple of office-suite pins that share the 92037 ZIP — not a dedicated La Jolla hub we could verify.

Updated August 2026 · Verification key: operator-confirmed = the store or platform page names the address itself. reported = copied from a network marketing page or an older directory. We did not Street-View every door.

What this page is not

It is not a scrape of Virtual Address Finder’s USA directory, and it is not a promise that every iPostal1 pin still answers the phone. Network maps churn. Franchise stores rebrand. We list a working set you can check in an afternoon, with the source on each row.

La Jolla is inside the San Diego mailbox market (ZIP 92037). The closest listings we can cite are an Executive Square address in that ZIP and pack-and-ship stores in Pacific Beach, UTC, and Miramar — not a dedicated La Jolla owned hub.

The product split in this county

Pack-and-ship storefront

A retail CMRA: counter, boxes, maybe a notary. iPostal1, Anytime, and PostScan all resell these. Mail grade is the store’s. Banking and GBP grades stay F.

Office-building listing

A suite number in a tower or “executive square.” Sometimes a real receptionist; sometimes a mailbox behind a locked floor. We mark these reported unless an operator page exists. Do not assume a bank will accept a callback.

We did not find a San Diego owned hub from US Global Mail or PhysicalAddress.com that we could cite as a street on their public marketing. US Global Mail’s owned-facility list in 2026 marketing names California as a state with a room — confirm the city on their site before you assume Kearny Mesa. If you need owned-hub process and can tolerate another California city, that is a different purchase than “I want 92037 on the letterhead.”

If two apps list the same store — Miramar Postal Plus sells both Anytime and iPostal1 — you are grading the store. The logo on the app is secondary.

La Jolla, specifically

iPostal1’s San Diego marketing page lists 4275 Executive Square, Suite 200 with ZIP 92037. That ZIP is La Jolla. We have not confirmed the occupant, the mail-handling hours, or whether a stranger can walk in with a passport. Treat it as a reported office-suite pin.

Everyday pack-and-ship options that are closer to a La Jolla daily loop, if the stores are still live: 864 Grand Ave in Pacific Beach (older listings name Beach Mailbox and Gifts) and 4079 Governor Drive in UTC. Both are reported. The one North City store we could confirm on an Anytime page is 12463 Rancho Bernardo Rd (Village Mail and More, $11.89/mo on that landing page) — convenient from I-15, not from the Cove.

The strongest operator-confirmed retail CMRA in the set is Miramar Postal Plus, 9528 Miramar Rd. Their site says they have been there since 1984, are a disabled-veteran-owned shop, and partner with both Anytime and iPostal1. That is a store you can call: (858) 566-6245. It is still a CMRA. It will not fix Mercury. It may fix “who do I yell at if the scan is late.”

Prices we will not invent

iPostal1’s San Diego page repeats the national floors: $9.99 personal, $14.99 business, $39.99 virtual office. Individual pins are tiered; we did not check out each suite. Anytime’s Rancho Bernardo page is the only San Diego sticker we captured from a location URL ($11.89/mo). GetNewMailBox.com still shows 2022 prices ($9.99, $15, even a $95 downtown row). Those numbers are stale. Ignore them except as a reminder that downtown office products were never $10.
