Virtual mailbox in New York, NY: owned Queens hub vs Manhattan prestige vs retail storefronts

New York is the first city on this directory with a cited US Global Mail self-managed hub in the metro. That room is a company-run mailroom on Greenpoint Avenue in Long Island City. It is not a Manhattan 100xx prestige suite, and it is not a Staples counter. VirtualPostMail does not publish a New York mailbox. Shoppers who want Rockefeller Center on the letterhead are buying a different product than the Queens hub.

Updated August 2026 · Verification key: operator-confirmed = the store or platform page names the address itself. reported = copied from a network marketing page or an older directory. We did not Street-View every door.

What this page is not

It is not a promise that every iPostal1 pin still answers the phone. Network maps churn. Franchise stores rebrand. We list a working set you can check in an afternoon, with the source on each row.

Brooklyn, the Bronx, and most Manhattan 100xx listings are still marketplace pins on iPostal1’s New York page, Anytime’s New York city landing, and PostScan Mail’s New York state page. VirtualPostMail does not publish a New York mailbox. The only company-run New York street we can cite is US Global Mail’s Long Island City hub at 3229 Greenpoint Ave (ZIP 11101) — that is Queens, not a Midtown 100xx suite.

The product split in this city

Owned hub

A company-run mailroom. The New York street we can cite is US Global Mail’s Long Island City hub. Mail grade can beat marketplace variance. Banking and GBP grades stay F unless the vendor’s own documents say otherwise — US Global Mail still describes itself as a USPS-approved CMRA.

Prestige office-building listing

A suite or floor in a Midtown or downtown tower. Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue, and Wall Street pins live here. Sometimes a real receptionist; sometimes a mailbox behind a locked floor. We mark these reported unless an operator page exists. Do not assume a bank will accept a callback.

Retail pack-and-ship / Staples storefront

A counter, boxes, maybe a notary. iPostal1 Standard and Select pins, and Staples-tagged storefronts, are this. Mail grade is the store’s. Banking and GBP grades stay F. Anytime’s city-landing stickers are a separate price list — one of them shares a street with an iPostal1 prestige floor.

That split is the point of this page. A 10020 Rockefeller Center floor and a 11101 Greenpoint Avenue hub share a metro and almost nothing else. VirtualPostMail’s published mailbox streets are 440 N Barranca Ave, Covina, CA 91723; 2093 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703; 1032 East Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511; 1710 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248; and 1887 Whitney Mesa Drive, Henderson, NV 89014. None of those rooms are New York.

VirtualPostMail is an owned-hub product we cite elsewhere. It has no New York mailbox on its published address pages, so its scorecard does not apply to the rows below. If two apps list the same street — 211 East 43rd appears on both iPostal1’s New York page and Anytime’s New York city landing — you are grading the store or the floor. The logo on the app is secondary. Read the suite line on Form 1583.

Locations we can name

New York listings collected August 30, 2026 PT from provider city pages and US Global Mail’s help center. Curated working set, not a complete census of every pin on those maps.
Address Area Kind Verification What we know
3229 Greenpoint Ave
Long Island City, NY 11101
Long Island City / Greenpoint Ave Owned hub operator-confirmed US Global Mail’s June 25, 2025 help article names this street as the New York example: 3229 Greenpoint Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101. Their May 7, 2025 “What addresses do you recommend?” article lists New York as a self-managed core hub with Houston and Concord, CA. We do not invent a suite — that article uses Suite #### as the assigned PMB. Still a CMRA. Not a Manhattan 100xx prestige floor.

Queens hub vs a 100xx letterhead

US Global Mail’s help-center list of self-managed core locations names Houston, New York, and Concord, CA. The New York street they publish is 3229 Greenpoint Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101. That is the one operator-confirmed owned hub in this table. We did not invent a suite number. Their address article uses “Suite ####” as the assigned private mailbox. It is still a CMRA. It can get a better mail grade than a partner-store lottery. It does not become a bank operating address because the building is in Queens instead of Midtown.

Prestige rows (276 Fifth Suite 704, 122 East 42nd 4th floor, the LOVE Building on Sixth Avenue, 733 Third 16th floor, 420 Lexington Suite 1402, Rockefeller Center 7th floor, 48 Wall Suite 1100) are office-building listings on iPostal1’s New York marketing page. A Rockefeller Center tag does not clear Mercury, Relay, Stripe Issuing, or Google Business Profile. Google’s representation guidelines say a rented mailing address you do not operate from — “also known as a virtual office” — is not eligible.

211 East 43rd Street is the messy Midtown overlap. Anytime’s New York city landing lists that street at US$14.99/mo with no floor. iPostal1 sells a 7th-floor Prestige pin from $39.99. Same street line, different product until you read the 1583.

Select pack-and-ship pins (2578 Broadway, 2196 Third Ave, 244 Madison) are retail counters with packing tags, not prestige floors. Standard rows tagged Staples Print & Marketing Services (1280 Lexington FRNT 2, 5 Union Square West FRNT 1, 1755 Broadway FRONT 3) are big-box storefronts. 1755 Broadway shares ZIP 10019 with the LOVE Building listing. That is the product split in one zip code: a Broadway Staples counter versus a Sixth Avenue tower floor.

We did not find an independent operator site that names one of these Manhattan streets the way US Global Mail’s help center names Greenpoint Avenue. Marketplace rows stay reported.

Prices we will not invent

iPostal1’s New York page repeats the national floors: $9.99 personal, $14.99 business, $39.99 virtual office. Individual pins are tiered Standard / Select / Prestige as listed on that page; we did not check out each suite. Retrieved August 30, 2026 PT.

Anytime Mailbox has a New York city landing at anytimemailbox.com/new-york-ny. The five location stickers on that page, retrieved August 30, 2026 PT: 447 Broadway US$8.99/mo, 1178 Broadway US$8.99/mo, 35 W 31st St Frnt 1 (printed as Astoria, NY 11105 on that landing) US$9.99/mo, 307 W 38th St. US$9.99/mo, 211 E 43rd St. US$14.99/mo. Those are Anytime landing prices, not iPostal1 national rates, and not a promise the operator still charges that tomorrow. We did not dump every sticker into the table.

PostScan Mail publishes a New York state landing. We did not copy a street table from that page. Official page only.

US Global Mail’s New York plan sticker is not a number we will invent from a city page. Confirm the live plan on their site. Their public marketing has listed a Scale plan from $49/mo annual — that is a national card, not a Greenpoint-only rate we checked out.

If you need banking or Google, stop shopping this table

Every street above is a mail product. A prestige suite at Rockefeller Center does not change the CMRA flag. A New York LLC filing can show a street the Department of State will accept for process mail or county location; that is not the same as a bank operating address. New York Department of State’s LLC formation page is the filing explainer we opened — it is not legal advice, and it does not say a CMRA becomes your principal place of business for KYC. For Amazon or Stripe occupancy, see the commerce page. For Form 1583, start here and the USPS PS Form 1583 (June 2024) before you order checks. For which address banks actually accept, see the product comparison.

iPostal1 advertises a registered-agent add-on in New York (and other listed states) at $99/year on that same New York city page — that is still not a mailbox substitute.
