Mailbox marketing collapses four jobs into one checkout: scan my letters, look like I have an office, pass a neobank, rank on Maps. The first job is real. The other three fail for documented reasons — USPS CMRA rules, bank help pages, Google’s representation guidelines. We would rather be dull and accurate than first on a “best of 2026” roundup.
The first city page is San Diego because that is a market we could check partner listings against — including the La Jolla ZIP — without pretending we Street-Viewed every pin in the United States. More cities will be added as data files, not as a blog of unrelated posts.
We are not iPostal1, Anytime Mailbox, PostScan Mail, VirtualPostMail, US Global Mail, or a registered-agent mill. We are affiliates of iPostal1 and VirtualPostMail; scorecard links for those brands (and TruLease, which shares VirtualPostMail’s program) use tracking URLs. Anytime Mailbox and PostScan Mail applications are still pending, so those names stay on official marketing and partner-program pages. Read the affiliate disclosure.
Grades are not purchased. Methodology is public. If a primary source changes — a Mercury help article, a USPS form revision, a store closure — the page date should move. If it has not, write as if the citation is the authority, not our memory.
What we will not do
- Invent prices, hours, or location counts.
- Fabricate Street View notes or testimonials.
- Treat complaint-board one-stars as a scientific sample — we label them reported.
- Tell you a CMRA will “usually work” at Mercury because a founder on a forum got lucky in 2021.
