If you need banking or Google, stop shopping this table

A Broadway packing store is not a bank operating address. A Wyoming company has to keep a registered agent in this state. Service of process means accepting a lawsuit. The agent is the person or company that can accept a lawsuit. A mailbox holds paper. It does not accept a lawsuit. W.S. 17-28-101 says the registered office shall be located at a street address in Wyoming which shall be a physical location where the registered agent, or a natural person who has an agency relationship with the registered agent, can accept service of process and is physically present at that location. We quote “street address” because that is the wording in the statute.

Official pages do not use one list. The Secretary of State registered-agents FAQ says: “Post office boxes, drop boxes, virtual addresses, mail forwarding locations, UPS or FedEx stores do not qualify as an acceptable registered office address.” The how-to PDF says the registered agent must have a physical address in Wyoming which cannot be a PO box, drop box, mail forwarding service, UPS store etc. A second bullet on that PDF says a physical Wyoming address which is not a PO box, drop box, mail forwarding service, UPS store, etc. The FAQ names virtual addresses and FedEx stores. The how-to PDF does not use those words. The LLC articles form says a drop box is not acceptable, and a PO Box is acceptable if listed in addition to a physical address. The FAQ says post office boxes do not qualify as the registered office. The form allows a PO Box beside a physical address. We quote both. We do not pick a winner. The same form says that if the registered office includes a suite number, it must be included. That is why we keep Ste E on the Jackson row. The address block writes it. Keeping the suite does not turn this UPS store into a registered office.

The LLC articles form header lists the Secretary of State at Herschler Building East, Suite 101, 122 W 25th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82002-0020. That is the office, not a mailbox on this table.
